Doing business in french
Développer des affaires en français is an initiative by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) in partnership with the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration du Québec (MIFI) as part of Francisation Québec. The program aims to promote the use of French as the language of business in small businesses operating in another language in Outaouais, Eastern Townships and Montérégie.
Doing business in French is a program free of charge that includes

A business french course offered by the Université de Sherbrooke with:
- A french level assessment
- Customized french lessons (oral and written)
- Workshops in small groups
2.
Support and coaching from the École des Entrepreneurs du Québec to:
- Build a business plan
- Improve your communication skills
- Develop your business
For whom?
Entrepreneurs, managers and employees who want to learn or improve their French
Non-French-speaking business owners who want to develop their skills in strategy, management, marketing and communication
Companies with less than 25 persons and located in Outaouais, Montérégie and Estrie
Through this program, the FCCQ and MIFI aim to support Quebec companies that do not use French as a business language by enabling them to learn French, expand their networks and develop their business.

No, it is necessary to carry out the language assessment beforehand. Depending on the result, the course is only accessible to people with poor level of French.
Yes, you can only participate in business French training at the Université de Sherbrooke. The support from the École des Entrepreneurs du Québec is a complement to the initial training.
However, training at the Université de Sherbrooke is a mandatory prerequisite to follow the training at the École des Entrepreneurs du Québec.
This is a pilot program available only in Outaouais, Estrie and Montérégie. However, you can contact Francisation Québec or find out about existing initiatives in your area by contacting your local Chamber of commerce.
It is possible to register your employees with their consent. You should contact your Chamber of commerce and complete the registration form with them in the name of the company and with the information on the participants.
